CORTINA D'AMPEZZO, Italy (AP) — After a rocky two weeks of Olympic curling that included accusations of cheating and a profanity-laced rant, the Canadian men will play for the gold medal at the Milan Cortina Games.

It wasn’t easy, but the U.S. women’s curling team became America’s first to advance to the Olympics medal round with an 11-end victory over Switzerland in Cortina D’Azzepa, Italy. Making history, especially in sports, is rarely easy.
